This is everything every fashion fanatic needs: our comprehensive guide to the hottest and biggest trends of 2018. Because New year, new trends and those too consisting of low-key romantic detailing- theres sparkle, tassles, feathers, fringes, cuts and fantastic industrial grade rubber and plastic that you’ve been cornering your entire life!
This pastel purple hue has taken over our mind and our wardrobe as its the next IT-colour and will most definitely be replacing its spot from the ‘Spring only’ category as its making its way into wooden knits, suits. chiffon floor skimming dresses and basically all sorts of formal wear.
2. Square Necklines
I’ve always had this soft corner for square necklines (on western cuts only. eastern if not done right, a big NO NO!) So, square up this year as this trend timing back to the renaissance makes its way in the fashion industry again after years on cotton tops, flared chiffon dresses, cocktail dresses, neat cut dresses and everything in between this.
3. The Crayola colour combination
Pink and red never looked this good with any other colour and this new colour combination is our next hot favourite! Dress it up or dress it down, this combination won’t disappoint as this paint box bright makes headlines on its beholder. Quite a coincidence how this sherbet makes it right in time for valentines (Please, don’t overkill it!)
4. Fanny Bags
As much as it burned my eyes in the beginning, we can’t seem to deny the fact that the fanny is here to stay for good, whether you hate it or love it. Something going hand in hand with minimalist looks and being adorned by every celebrity, i think we’ll grow over this trend with time, or well lets just hope we do.
5.90’s grunge- The retro sunglasses trend!
This trend has lived its time then and it will now too. I remember looking into my parents pictures and see them carrying these glasses, and now, time has reversed itself and has taken us to the same trend yet again. louis Vuitton and Prada brought it back, and we’re secretly thanking them to do so as this razor edged half moon shaped glasses take over.
6. Feathers, feathers everywhere
Tassles, fur and feathers- these three things go hand in hand and even though we’re seen so much of these on eastern and western clothes, we can’t seem to get sick of it! Feather it up this winter season in anything and everything screaming regal and royal!
7. Dark denim
This is one trend I’m sad made its way back as when the washed out denim took over, i couldn’t accept my mind to carry it and grew over the dark denim just three months ago for the washed out denim trend. And then, my ex in fashion made its grand entry back, looking as good as ever..
8. Ruffled up
I would like to thank nobody but Ralph and Russo first and foremost for making us fall head over heels in love with this trend- as much as it can be a disaster if overdone, theres nothing that drips elegance and royalty better than a floor skimming ruffled up gown in chiffons, silks and everything more.
